Hello and nice to meet you!
My name is Ande - named after the mountains.
I am a lifelong singer, professional performer, and passionate educator with a profound love for music and storytelling. I come from a background of intensive vocal training and full-time performance work in jazz, musical theatre, pop, rock, folk, opera, and classical styles. As a young actor, I led numerous productions such as Evita (Eva Peron), Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Joseph…Dreamcoat (Narrator), Bright Star (Alice Murphy), and most recently in The Last Five Years (Cathy). I am a three-time National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) award winner in musical theatre, classical, and contemporary commercial music, and a Rita Moreno Award nominee for Best Actress in 2019.
For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching voice to students of all ages and experience levels. My goal is to create a safe, affirming, and encouraging room where singers can feel free to explore their sound and take creative risks. Singing is the most vulnerable instrument to play - it's your body! - which is why I focus not only on healthy vocal technique, but on emotional connection, confidence, and self-expression as well. I believe the learning process should feel both challenging and enormously gratifying.
In addition to voice, I offer lessons in songwriting, acting, guitar, piano, violin, and music theory. As a working independent artist with music streaming on all available listening platforms, I especially love guiding students through the songwriting process - helping them write for their own voices and tell their own stories.Whether you’re just starting your journey or preparing for the next big step, I am here to support you every half step of the way.
